Additionally, this includes any information that is intellectual property or considered confidential to Bilingualdiversity.com, its clients, or third parties.

Only transfers the data to others if necessary to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the requesting application’s user interface.

How We Use Personal Information

As a policy, Bilingualdiversity.com uses sensitive information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently authorized by the individual. Bilingualdiversity.com takes reasonable steps to ensure that sensitive information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete, and current.

In the latter case, Bilingualdiversity.com is an Application Service Provider (ASP), however, each client, as the collector, administrator, and user of sensitive information within applications, has primary responsibility for the privacy of that information. Bilingualdiversity.com, as an ASP, may collect application usage data for the purpose of product improvement and support. If Customer has licensed artificial intelligence, machine learning, or Optical Character Recognition (OCR) functionality from Bilingualdiversity.com, then by Customer using that functionality, Customer’s data will be processed by the Bilingualdiversity.com application licensed by the Customer; this processed data may include sensitive data or personally identifiable information if Customer puts such data into the parts of applications that use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or OCR.  

 

Customers, Partners, and Prospects: Bilingualdiversity.com may collect information from Customers, Partners, and Prospects for the purposes of marketing, product support, and other appropriate channels. This collection does not take place within any applications licensed by a Customer from Bilingualdiversity.com. Bilingualdiversity.com takes reasonable steps to ensure that sensitive information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete, and current. Bilingualdiversity.com does not provide any of the information we collect to third parties other than to market our products and services.

 

Webinars and Trainings:  Upon registering and/or attending webinars or seminars, Bilingualdiversity.com may collect information provided by attendees and registrants for the purposes of marketing, product support, and other appropriate channels. Bilingualdiversity.com takes reasonable steps to ensure that sensitive information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete, and current. By registering for these webinars and training sessions, Bilingualdiversity.com may provide any personal data you, the attendee and/or registrant, share to webinar organizers, including any third-party sponsors.

 

Website: Bilingualdiversity.com uses the information we collect to identify and contact visitors to our website(s) who are seriously interested in our products and services. Cookies allow us to store user preferences and settings; enable sign-in; provide interest-based advertising; combat fraud; and analyze how our websites and online services are performing.

 

Transmission of Information

For some business processes, it is necessary to pass on sensitive data relating to clients or partners to third parties. If this does not occur owing to a legal obligation, it must be checked in each instance whether it is in conflict with any interest of the data subject that merits protection. Before any step is taken to process sensitive data, it must be verified whether and to what extent the processing of said data is necessary in order to achieve the purpose for which it is undertaken. Where the purpose allows and where the expense involved is in proportion with the goal being pursued, anonymized or statistical data must be used. This statement does not apply to statistical analysis or studies based on anonymized data.

 

Information that is no longer needed for its intended purpose shall be deleted in compliance with Bilingualdiversity.com existing archival guidelines. Per the EU General Data Protection Regulation, applicable sensitive information may not be collected in advance and stored for potential future purposes unless required under the law of the individual nation.

 

Access and Correction

If you are an individual who interacts with a Customer using our services and websites (such as an end-client of one of our Customers) and would either like to amend your contact information or no longer wish to be contacted by one of our Customers that use our services and websites, please contact the Customer that you interact with directly.

 

We may collect information about you as described in the Personal Information We Collect section in this Privacy Policy only if we need the information for some legitimate purpose. Bilingualdiversity.com will have information about you only if (a) you have provided the information yourself, (b) Bilingualdiversity.com has automatically collected the information, or (c) Bilingualdiversity.com has obtained the information from a third party.

Additionally, the verifiable consumer request must describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

 

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided in a request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request. We endeavor to comply with a request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days), we will inform you, in writing, the reason for the delay. Any information we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding the request’s receipt.

 

Retention of information

We retain your personal information for as long as it is required for the purposes stated in this Privacy Policy. Sometimes, we may retain your information for longer periods as permitted or required by law, such as to maintain suppression lists, prevent abuse, if required in connection with a legal claim or proceeding, to enforce our agreements, for tax, accounting, or to comply with other legal obligations. When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your information, we will delete or anonymize your information from our active databases.
